The boat ramp, dock and generous parking area just south of the I-55 Ruddock Exit alongside the I-55 Borrow Canal are managed by St. John the Baptist Parish and is used by boaters heading to the I-55 Canal and the historic Ruddock Canal to Lake Maurepas. This site happens to be at the narrowest part of the Isthmus of Manchac.
